I’m hopeful that by now every member of GMCMI (and those new folks who have either just joined or are contemplating joining) have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. We should all be thankful that all who traveled enjoyed safe passage and have returned home without mishap. GMC owners are fully familiar with little “discrepancies” that occur on our road tripsbut then we remember all of the great trips that we accomplished without problems. Either way, we are a tough and dedicated bunch. As we move into 2016, we as GMCMI members have lots to look forward to. By now you will have all received the premier issue of the new 4-color GMC Vintage RVing magazine. This new format replacesour traditional newsletter and is also available in a digital flipbook format at www.gmcmi. com/gmc-vintage-rving/. If you wish to download a pdf of the magazine and/or the fall mailing, you can continue to do so via the “members only” section of the website in the newsletter/magazine archives.A reminder that our GMCMI 2016 Spring Convention will take place Friday, April 8 to Thursday, April 14 at the National Peanut Festival Grounds in Dothan, Alabama. This southern location should permit attendance by a large number of our members inthis part of the country as well as those of you who travel from long distances. Please contact members you know and encourage themto attend. The Spring Convention registration and information is available in this magazine on pages 15-18.We are hoping that our newly planned experimental “Great GMC Motorhome Summer Get-Together” approved byyour board of directors will bring us new attendees who are unable to attend our regular conventions because of their jobsor those who have school age children. The event will be held Saturday, June 25 to Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Branson KOA &Convention Center in Branson, Missouri. Branson is a great place for summer fun for all ages and we will have more information aboutactivities for you to consider. Please contact GMC owners you may know who fall into this category and help us spread the word about this new opportunity. If you have not already done so, you should look over the new GMCMI Electronic Parts Interchange. Like always, our Parts Interchange is a “work in progress” – it is only as accurate as the information contributed and updated by YOU! Everyone should notify Kim of any additions/revisions you feel are needed. To access the interchange, go to gmcmi.com and sign in to the Members Only section. The first item listed is the Parts Interchange. Each member will receive a printed version along with the GMCMI Roster in the Spring mailing. Finally, we have implemented a new referral program. Please do check out the details of the program on page 7.
