Western GMC Club Day
Monday, April 9 will feature the regional clubs from the West.

Bright and Early – Western GMC Club members will be preparing and serving sausages, along with fruit and whip cream for your freshly-made waffles.

Lunch Time – The Western GMC Club Ladies will be hosting the “Feeling Groovy” Ladies Luncheon. Reminisce about food fads, wild clothing and oh….the music! They invite you to dress in your favorite 1970s outfit and join them for lunch and fun. Ken Frey will be making his famous chili for the men that will be served for lunch.

Western GMC Clubs Meet & Greet – Join the members of the Western GMC Clubs during their Meet & Greet. Watch for more information.

Ice Cream Social & Entertainment – After the Meet & Greet will follow the GMCMI Ice Cream Social and entertainment provided by the Western GMC Clubs.

Book Exchange & Bookworms
Remember to bring your books, tapes, and dvds for the Book Exchange held each morning. Also, bring your favorite book and share it at the “Bookworms and their Diet” session. A list will be posted at gmcmi.com/community-book-list/. Check out previous book lists from other Conventions.

Request for Tech Presenters
What is that one thing that you may wish to share? Here is your opportunity! The Mini-Tech Sessions consist of 15-20 minute tech/informational sessions that feature on thing that the presenter wishes to share. Need more time than 15-20 minutes, not a problem. We have a couple of session openings left. Contact Kim for more information.

GMC Part Exchange and Craft & Flea Market
Bring those no longer needed GMCMI items to sell on Sunday, April 8 at 1:00 pm! Also, we enjoy seeing and purchasing those lovely things you make.

GMC Motorhome Open House Tour
Tour and enjoy seeing original and updated GMC Motorhomes. The tour will follow the Parts, Flea and Craft Market on Sunday, April 8 at 3:00 pm.

The “She Shed”
Ladies, join us at the “She Shed” where we socialize  and have fun! Are you crocheting a project…come work on it and share it with the ladies. Bring any type of project you are working on or better yet…lead a group and help others to make one. One project scheduled is making blankets for a local charity. The blankets are easy to do. You don’t even need to sew! Just bring one yard of plain fleece and one yard of printed fleece and your scissors.

Not a crafty person…no problem. How about adult coloring? Items to color and markers supplied or bring your own. Better yet….just come, talk, laugh, and have fun! We will be serving snacks and sweets. See you there.

CPR/AED Certification & Recertification Class
Two years ago at the Spring Convention in Dothan, GMCMI held classes where members became certified to operate the GMCMI defibrillator. Recertification is required every two years. We have made arrangements for training at Tucson. It will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 9:00 am. GMCMI will subsidize a portion of the fee for those who participate. To attend the class, simply check the box on the registration form and pay only $25 per person!

We have a couple of sessions open, just in case you have an idea or session you would wish to lead contact Kim today! Possible items:

The Seventies Party
Get down and boogie! Dig out your grooviest of duds: fringed vests, leisure suits, bell bottoms, afro wigs, platform shoes, wide-collared shirts, funky patterns and don’t forget that polyester! Enjoy the entertainment and dance the night away!

While your digging, bring a photo from the 1970’s of yourself. They will be posted the bulletin boards without names at first, so people can try to figure out who is who. It will be a lot of fun!

Learn about Southern Arizona’s heritage and culture at the Arizona State Museum, Etherton Gallery, Arizona History Museum, and Jewish History Museum.

Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium
